Domaine Jean-Marc Bernhard Alsace Grand Cru Riesling ‘Wineck-Schlossberg’ 2019: Light-bodied. Vibrant acidity. Refreshing taste. Classic Riesling nose with palate flavors of apple, apricot, lemon & minerals. Lovely off-dry finish. All in all, a clean & bright Alsace Riesling; very pleasant, very versatile, good value. Happy Saturday to all! Cheers🍷 — 4 years ago

This is the Riesling Trocken (dry). Beautiful citrus fruit, lemon curd, hint jasmine and a faint touch of peach as it reaches close to room temp. lacks this wow haven‘t had this before - effect. Some sulfur on the nose which needs to breathe out. Good wine. — 8 months ago
A wine of gras, texture, perfume and complex interplay of fruit and spice. Grilled peach, poached pear, white cherry, rose petals, caraway, cloves, spice, stone. Considerable RS, has to be 40 g/l +, but its phenolic grip and weight balance it. Been enjoying it over 7 days, great with red curry, harrissa chicken and cous cous, and triple cream — 3 years ago
Similar notes to 65 weeks ago when I had the last one. A colour of pale to mid Gold. Delicate white florals initially with a touch of petro-chemical. Aromas of sweet pea (flower) and orange peel - citrus in general. As the wine developed, aromas of honeysuckle. On the palate notes of Quince with a sweetish honeyed end. One of the 1001 Wines from one of the world’s great Riesling vineyards which was originally planted and tended by monks in the 1500s. — 5 years ago
Pop and pour. The nose...just enrapturing. Soft coffee and coconut notes, bright raspberry, ripe wild strawberry, herbal notes, savory notes...amazing complexity. On the palate, lovely acidity, a touch of bitter medicine, earth and tree bark, then red raspberry, pepper. Medium bodied, and soft but very finely grained tannin on the finish. My best bottle so far. — 6 years ago
Lower acid this vintage; mint; fruit moving to background. — 2 years ago

Upfront minerality, mid palate fruity. Finish savory. Very complete wine. — 5 years ago
At $28 usd an exceptional value for an Alsatian GC. 2016 vintage was challenging initially but progressively improved. Some higher acidity levels here but overall doing well. Floral freshness, citrus and a touch of petrol and waxiness with Meyer lemon and minerality throughout palate. Not a stunner but a steal at the price. — 7 years ago

Medium light straw with green reflexes . Quite fresh and stony , green apple , light white flowers , hint of petrol , but overall quite strict and closed . On the palate this has high acidity and a stony , green apple and lemon pith, white peach. Quite strict and fine , linear in style . Stony oyster shell , apple peel finish . Very young needs a bit of time to round out . Quite lean but will probably fill out in a few years , quite good saline tinged length. Come back in 5 years, will last well a further 10. — 8 months ago
