Medium in body, fresh and driven, the 2022 Pinot Noir (Santa Lucia Highlands) is pretty forward in its red-fruited profile, but it also possesses a core of stern, rocky minerality. An enticing air of highlands herbs and sweet lavender adds further intrigue. Juicy, sweet raspberry, clove and a kick of toasty French oak sweetness make the 2022 an inviting choice for drinking over the next several years. (Billy Norris, Vinous, August 2024)

The 2022 Pinot Noir Julia's Vineyard is redolent of sweet dried cherry, spice, new leather, mint and sweet pipe tobacco. This aromatic, gracious Pinot is a charmer. All the elements are nicely balanced throughout. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2024)

Drank over a few days. Very light gold color, which is surprising after smelling and tasting it. Very rich nose of sweet apples/pears, lychee, and subtle perfume. Smells like a scratch and sniff book :). Similar on the palate but more refined. Medium depth and finish. Pretty darn good for $30. Probably gets better with age, but ready to go now. — 24 days ago
The 2022 Syrah Colson Canyon Vineyard is such a unique wine. Bright floral aromatics and lively acids make a strong opening statement. Pomegranate, blood orange, raspberry jam, slate, crushed rocks and clean mineral notes all drive through this heady, explosive Syrah. This is a magical wine from Joey Tensley. I’d like to think I could at the very least, name this as a California Pinot in a blind tasting. Text book. Very good. But I’m bored with ok textbook… — 3 days ago
