Really strong Barolo from 2004. Nice red fruit on the nose and palate. Smooth but with a great acidity. Served with porterhouse, roasted mushrooms, and mashed potatoes. — 4 years ago
Yummy and lengthy and smooth. Brought by a friend to our sat evening quiche dinner! — 3 years ago
Musty nose on pop but after a decant and swirl the violets kick in and the bouquet delivers a whiff of truffle as well. Classic Barolo tar on entry, massive red fruit, rose petal and fig. A bit grainy and less vibrant than I’m used to from Giacomo Conterno. Good, not great length. A serious Barolo. More substantial than flashy. My preference runs to the Aldo Conterno wines but these are perhaps more “traditional” and worthy of contemplation. — 4 years ago

Not sure anyone thinks to age Dolcetto but perhaps we should. This was very good - had the color and elegance of an old Nebbiolo. A great find in the basement of Ladue Market. — 4 years ago
Delicious... no big raisin component, but not anaerobic like the Conterno. This is nice balanced Barolo. — 4 years ago
