1 hour decant(some fine/cloudy sediment). A splendid dark purplish magenta color. On the nose: expressive notes of dark brambly fruit, currants, floral, milk chocolate, planting soil, and eucalyptus. Taste: silky, jammy mouthcoating wine with dark plum/cherry, earth, licorice, dark chocolate, and a long graphite/coffee ground finish. YUM! — 3 months ago

Fruit fading but still there with a long satisfying finish on the palates — 6 months ago
This one is a showstopper. Complex and big. Heavy but with grace. Some really nice cab sauv components (88%) but you definitely get the petit Verdot (12%) too. Cassis, plum, blackberry fruits lead out but with some smoked cigar and tobacco leaf that is undeniable. Graphite and menthol. Its balanced perfectly with firm tannins and large acidity. Persists for a while. Gotta end the night with this one. — 6 months ago
An excellent wine from a not great year. Gorgeous on the nose. Plum, cassis, lavender, and milk chocolate. Just a bit weak on the finish. — 3 months ago
This has softened considerably since my last bottle several years ago. Nose is complex, with earth, cedar, cigar box, and an incense-like note. In the mouth, it’s rich but medium-bodied. The tannins that were so prominent a few years ago have significantly resolved. Entering (finally) its drinking window. — 3 months ago
Enjoyable with an abundance of fruit and soft tannins. I was hoping to wait, sadly it was my last bottle. — 6 months ago
Auction wine. Broken cork. Again. Wine was at base of the neck. I think cakebread got a batch of bad corks. No wine into the cork and they all broke right at the end. Not sure how it affected the wine but it’s been a consistent issue
Wine exhibited some decent fruit but no real depth or grip. Very smooth and medium body but missing some power and complexity expected from this site.

Finally i bought a Cabernet Sauvignon with the richness of a Bordeaux. A beautiful, powerful, complex steak wine. Cranberry, earth, tar, leather, and spice. Smooth and elegant with smooth bitter tannins in the finish. — 4 months ago
Deep ruby, 14.5% , bold, strong tannic, intense structure, black fruit, , not jammy, oak, tobacco, leather, vanilla, long finish, very good wine, bought $55 — 5 months ago
