Really jammy, lots of raspberry and blackberry flavors. Rounded mouth feel, — 2 years ago
A Margaret River-producer from the beginning, whose inception was coached by Mondavi; deep purple; nose of dark mulberry, black currant, ripe cherries, black pepper, anise and nutmeg; showing great on the palate, forceful yet elegant, with tannins, ripe fruit, acid levels and alcohol in good harmony, and a long dry finish. Promising future. — 2 years ago
See previous notes on July 2018 and October 2021. This is maturity nicely. Keith Mugford, the owner and winemaker said on release “It will take at least 10 years to develop some bottle age characters and will probably reach its peak somewhere around 20 years old. However it should continue to be drinkable up to 30 years old, at least and especially for those bottles under screw cap.” (Which this was). Showing cassis, mulberry, cedar and a little tobacco. Mouth filling and delicious. Rich and sweet - could be described as a Shiraz lover’s Cabernet. Great persistence - smooth and slippery tannins. A very good vintage in Margaret River. I have 3 left - next one in late 2026 or 2027 when 20 years old. I also have a Magnum which should not be touched until at least 25 years of age. — 4 months ago
What is better with a 1.75” medium rare steak and an Idaho baked potato? A super dry, dense, heavily oaked Napa cab! I was glad I decanted the wine before we went to a dance recital of our granddaughter. Upon our return 2.5 hours later, the coarse tannins had been beaten into submission and opened up into pleasant flavors of cigar box, cedar and old spice and fully integrated with dark, dry blackberry, pie cherry and mulberry. It was a feast! — 2 years ago
Black olive, rye crust, bran, olive wood, wood ear, black currant, cassis, and gravel nose. Black and tart cherries, rose stem, mulberry, cassis, mocha cigar, baking chocolate, plum skins. Elegant, if a little closed.

CWM: Waves of dark fruits waft from the glass: blueberry, mulberry and plum. Full-bodied and lush in the mouth, layers of vanilla, bittersweet chocolate, and faint florals develop on the palate. It closes with a long, polished finish filled with fine-grained, singularly dense Petite Sirah Tanins. — 2 years ago

Ripe dark plums, blackcurrants and faint mulberry, very good structure, medium-rich and round, tannins clamp down on the medium-long finish, needs time (5+ years at least)!! — a month ago
