Great paired with steak. Medium bodied. Had in the Dominican Republic — a month ago
Dark and murky ruby color with a slight garnet rim. Aromas of leather, ripe black cherry and a good deal of barnyard funk. Flavors of earth, coffee, mushrooms with a very slight amount of dried black cherry fruit. Finish is a bit bitter but the wine is still well balanced. Exceptionally tertiary with well softened tannins. Frankly, this wine was fine (if you can accept the lower fruit levels) but I was (it was not flawed) honestly expecting more from this highly regarded producer. — 2 months ago
Deep purple in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced intensity primary and secondary aromas of blackberries, dried herbs, and vanilla; on the palate, it's dry, with high acidity, high tannins, medium alcohol, full body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of plum, baking spices, a hint of black pepper, and crushed gravel with a long finish. This wine is intense and balanced, but it's difficult to differentiate the flavors. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. — 2 months ago
Black cherry, raspberry preserves, currant, blackberry, vanilla and oak. Full-bodied and soft tannins. — 2 months ago
Poured into a decanter about 30 minutes prior to service and enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2019 San Valentino pours a deep ruby/purple color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and a decent amount of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with sensational notes of Bing cherry, plum, licorice, Palo Santo, varnish, balsamico, exotic spices, and a mix of dried under brush and earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose . The finish is long and there is no shortage of excitement. A wine that simultaneously makes you think and fills you with joy. Drink now through 2034. — 3 months ago
The savory and youthful 2013 Argiano BDM displays an attractive ruby/garnet, Bing cherry appearance, as the color is backed up by perfumed aromatics and flavors of all types of red berries and cherries.
It is nicely balanced and well structured with juicy acidity, and supporting, light dusty tannins at the long, lip smacking finish. Overall, very Pinot Noir-ish. The combination of aging in barrique and large oak barrels creates an interesting complexity and texture not typically found in other BDMs. Great stuff!! — a month ago

Oh Wow!!! Bright ruby color. Aromas of cedar, smoke, exotic spices, rose petals and bright cherry fruit. Flavors of crushed plums and black cherry fruit, black licorice, tobacco and prunes. Lovely herbal, spice, mineral and floral notes on the long and concentrated finish. Fine grained tannins and full bodied. Perfect balance of power, complexity and finesse. Outstanding and Classic! Felt a little sad when I noticed the bottle was empty. Thanks so much to Kasey and Petey for sharing this one. — 2 months ago
Medium garnet , quite a quite wide garnet rim . This is quite spiced on the nose with , some red cherries , spiced raspberries and sweet anise, liquorice, some notes dried herbal , black tea hints . On the palate this is medium bodied with quite high acidity , more spiced cherry , raspberry and herbal hints , with the sweet anise notes also . Not very long on the palate but quite well balanced . Spiced , sweet fruited profile, quite light in style for a Brunello. This is drinking well now and I wouldn’t leave it very much longer, no upside from here , enjoy over the next 3-4 years. Next day , showing a little more dried fruits and spice , anise , still hanging in there , but nothing to gain by keeping. — 2 months ago
Deep garnet with a tawny rim. A savoury earthy mushroom note coming through - also balsamic notes. Fading red cherry on the palate. An excellent Brunello from a good vintage, travelling well at 15 years. A fabulous food wine with homemade fettuccine. I will probably drink my last bottle in 2027/28 although I have a drinking window through to the early 2030s. — 3 months ago

Power and grace. Somehow this feels like a wine of wisdom. Mature, carressing, full of warmth and comfort. Long, elegant, classy. — a month ago
