Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple of hours. The 2021 Classico pours a bright garnet color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose the wine is developing with beautiful notes of ripe Morello cherry, raspberry, tart forest strawberry’s, a whole bouquet of roses, hibiscus, saltwater taffy, tar, assorted green herbs, old wood and dry dusty earth. After about an hour or so, pomegranate enters the chat. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. These are early days but I’m really excited to track how these evolve with time. Drink now through 2051. — 3 months ago

2006 needed a long decant. Opens with red fruits and florals. Followed by darker black cherries, flowers and cigar box. This is a fuller bodied Barolo dome in a Serralunga style. The finish is elegant and long, softer tannins offer wonderful finesse. Side note. I opened 2 identical bottles. Purchased at the same time, cellared together and they drank very differently. — 14 days ago
PNP after shoveling the driveway. Inviting nose with dry cocoa powder prominent. This wine drinks like Gamay. Sour, over ripe strawberries, tangy raspberries, a bit of chalky tannins that are short lived. Minus 1 point for a metallic bitterness on the finish.

Lots of sediment. Decanted and was tightly wound for almost two hours. While waiting we opened a bottle of 04 Massolino Vigna Rionda Barolo which was 🎶 singing right from the get go! Then came back to this 83 and it had definitely developed into a great bottle almost bigger in style than the Barolo who would have guessed 🤷♂️ — 3 years ago
An absolute delightful Nebbiolo with bright vibrant red showing through, fabulous nose, and a wide array of spice and herbs. Just coming into its best window with easily 20 more years to enjoy. Pleasant surprise of complexity and easy drinking. Begs for duck on the plate. — a month ago

Dark velvet. Wonderful bottle. — a year ago
Purplish in color with a reddish hue.
Light to medium in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with red currants, red cherries, raspberries and spices.
Tangy finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very young Barbaresco from Piedmont. Fruity and fresh, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
Starting to show some complexity already. Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime.
A good food wine that will pair nicely with game meats.
100% Nebbiolo grapes were aged for 18 months in large Slavonian wood barrels.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
