Deep purple in color; blueberries, plums, and dried flowers on the nose; medium plus acidity; high tannins, so tannic it's chewy; tastes like raspberries, violets, crushed gravel, and wet slate with a long finish. Well balanced flavors. I love it. — 2 months ago

Ruby in color with a wide brick rim.
Sweet nose and medium in body with high acidity.
Sweet on the palate with a nice mouth feel.
Showing red and black fruits, tobacco leaf, light earth, brown sugar, Indian spices, peppercorn, herbs and alcohol.
Short finish with Tangy cranberries and honey.
This is not my It is never my favorite port style, but it's very drinkable as a dessert wine.
I enjoyed the nose more than the palate.

Blend of 50% Touriga Nacional, 35% Touriga Franca, 10% Tinta Roriz, 4% Tinta Barroca & 1% Alicante Bouschet, aged in used French oak for 14 months, aromas of fresh dark berry flavors with herb, spice and cedar notes. On the palate flavors of blueberry and plum with licorice, cedar, espresso and spicy herbs. Fine ripe tannins, medium finish ending with fruit, cedar, spice and herb character. Nice value! — a month ago
My 4th spin with this vintage and it's holding steady, if a little more reserved than it was in youth. The 16s were super open and drinkable young but have added more of what you'd expect in it's youth, more structure, more density, just more serious. Decant if having right away. If you can plan it, splash decant briefly and rebottle it with the cork open for 24 hours. — 3 months ago
Discovered yet another amazing new white wine from Portugal! — 3 months ago
Chain Bridge Cellars. $67.00. Very smooth. Chocolate tones. — 4 months ago
browner colour, smells of burnt caramel, apricots, amber honey - very syrup-y. not as sweet as the other port. tastes like raisins, maple syrup-esque. tastes similar to the maple syrup taffy/lollipops. not as fruity as the other port. after chocolate the flavours are softened and honestly not as sweet — a month ago
Always a banger. BIG STONE. — a month ago
I cannot describe how excited I’ve been for this bottle.
From Portugal’s tiny Colares wine region, this is the famed Ramisco grape, grown in vines in the sands off the coast of Sintra. Back when phylloxera destroyed most of Europe’s grapevines, these survived as the parasite couldn’t make its way in the sands the grapevines grew in. The Portuguese crown then nationalized the wine- unique to Portugal- and used it in diplomacy as a form of soft power.
The wine starts with a roughness that smooths into a beautiful, medium bodied flavour of black cherry and blackberry. Think of a juicy California Pinot Noir that manages the punch of a Rioja.
A wine worthy of its great history.

1/24 High marks. Wonderful earthy notes. In the sweet side. it is better oxidizing in the bottle so some of the sugarless subsides. Plenty of caramel, toffee, ripe fruit. Outside of the sweetness which can be cloying a solid 90. — 4 months ago

Oak intermingles nicely w cherry sweetness. Red-orange color is perfect. Strong aromas delivered in richness. Thought I was a white wine person, but the balanced, sweet freshness of a port is becoming my new favorite indulgence — 24 days ago
