Might be the best St Joseph I’ve ever had to date! — a month ago
Cute little building on the label. Lovely red, red wine color. Smells like I imagine the warm, dry hills of the Rhône must smell. Hint of red berries. Some chaparral stuff (or garrigue as they call it over the pond). Flavors are classic and very clean. Berry jam, fresh cut herbs, beets, little smoke, black licorice. This is a lovely little bottle of red. Crowd pleasing yet complex. The Paul Simon of wines. — a month ago
Nose: meaty, leather, red fruit palate:strawberry, red fruit like raspberry, young cherry, fresh cut grass.
Finish: medium, oily, tannic — a month ago
I was going through my La Chapelle section today and my eyes got stuck on this 1999 - bottle looked absolutely pristine and I decided it was a perfect age to drink. Cork was in great condition and the wine was powerful and youthful with no signs of oxidation. Could have kept the bottle for a few more years, but it was probably perfect today. All the complex leathery earthy goodness you expect from this wine was there. — 3 months ago
Is so good, finish test of chocolate and vanilla. Love it — 3 years ago
White flowers, strawberry, rhubarb, white peach. Medium bodied with structured acidity. Lovely on a hot day but has enough heft to pair well with salmon pasta. — 6 days ago

2013 vintage. Sweet fill and cork. Trashy label. Slightly less sed than expected. Big nose on the decant. Tasted after 1 hour open and 5 hours open. Medium heavy body. Roasted nuts, earth, plummy fruit and grilled beef nose and flavors. Finishing palate added a finely ground black pepper note. Consistent throughout and absolutely delicious. 05.23.25. — 2 months ago
I bought this bottle in Florence around 2019. I later found out the shop was owned by Antinori - the producer of the wine. An excellent Super Tuscan from Bolgheri. 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot. Dark Ruby with a tawny rim starting to develop. Classic Bordeaux descriptors of Cassis, herbs, tobacco and hints of cocoa with oak totally integrated. A rich and mouth filling palate such that it could have been from a new world vineyard in a good vintage. This is comparable in quality to a good Super Second. Interestingly the 2007 had the major change of Syrah being eliminated from the blend in favour of Cabernet Franc. An outstanding Bordeaux blend which exceeded expectations. I should keep an eye out for more bottles. — a month ago

Hearty Blend. Just had it with a filet. Hit the spot. Love the Orin swift wines. They are true to their original form from when they started. Very good. A little spice, blackberry. — 4 days ago

Awesome! Decanted for two hours, but it was much better after four. Lush, rich dark berry fruits, herbs and cinnamon spice accompanied by leather and smoke. — 3 days ago
