Nice Mellow wine with full flavor. Let it open. Not sure of year. — a month ago
This is my last bottle of this remarkable single vineyard Syrah, the first bottle consumed about 6 years ago.
The nose opens seamlessly with ripe plum, blueberry compote, and cassis before evolving into savory waves of smoked meat, dark cocoa, dried violet, and aged soy. The palate is full and silky, with a refined sweetness and integrated spice driving a long, savory finish. Still powerful but now balanced and restrained. In peak form. — 3 months ago
Yeah, I bought 2 Joel Gott wines today. I guess I'm reliving some of the wines I liked when I first got into wine.
This is just fine! Inexpensive and chuggable, if I'm not careful. Citrus, green apple, pineapple, melon.. you're supposed to say "grass and gooseberry" when you drink SB, but I've never tasted a gooseberry. Not very grassy, either. Doing this with Thai spring rolls, and it's great.

Really enjoyed this. For the money really can’t beat it. Dark fruits, not overly tannic. My go to when I am tired of dropping to much money on wine. — 4 months ago

Nice viscosity. Green apple, lime zest, lemon, kiwi, some light tropical syrup, caramel & butterscotch, honeysuckle, saline, sea fossils, volcanics limestone powder, fine chalk, white spice, light nuttiness, some wood notes, spring flowers, lilies, excellent, round acidity, well balanced, keenly structured, elegant & polished finish that lasts 90 seconds and lands on spice & minerality. — 3 days ago
