Vaillons Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2020

Fresh, intense, almost zingy lemon contrasts with minerals and earth, it’s a nice range of terroir to complement the zesty fruit. Additional interest comes from the lemon rind and bergamot notes. Paired beautifully with sushi. It plays with refinement vs exemplifying it, but in a way we found delightful for the occasion. — 9 months ago

Domaine Chanson (Chanson Père et Fils)

Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir 2016

This is the Chanson/Bastion G-C…decanted 90 mins….lovely Burgh, very refined/subdued, but lacks depth to me, turned a bit sour late. Maybe a bit more earth than I like? Really lingering over it. J loves it — 3 years ago

Le Mialan St. Péray Marsanne 2022

Such nice purity & freshness here.
White flowers, white peach, an almond note, a whiff of fresh croissants.
On the palate this is medium bodied yet nicely linear & with brilliant balance between the breadth and the fresh white currant acidity. Nice depth and impressive length with the stony minerality & almonds bitterness coming to shine.
This is a very nice one and, at 12% alc, drinking dangerously fast!

2nd bottle not as good as the first one. More muted overall. Still a nice wine. — 2 years ago

Le Reverdy Hermitage 2005

2009 pale yellow, half and half Marsanne Roussane, a light floral nose, on palette muted honey, beeswax, a light touch of oak, all a bit hidden on opening, but this broadened out and gave peach nectar. I love the white Rhone blend. — 4 years ago
