Medium ruby garnet , narrow garnet rim . Quite deep spicy tobacco , cassis , redcurrant , grafite , smoky herbal notes on the nose. On the palate this is quite restrained and elegant , with a mix of red and dark fruits , cassis , blueberry , red currant , touch of menthol also . Good refreshing acidity and slightly gritty tannins , good length with grafite and tobacco stained finish . This is showing well and is probably at peak at the moment , no rush as it will stay here for another 8-10 years or so . — 9 months ago
2018 vintage.
Dark berry, black plums, a bit of green pepper and hazelnuts on the nose.
Juicy with blackberry, dark cherry, cocoa and hints of vanilla. Soft, velvety tannins.
Grill anything on the BBQ and you’re having a great night.
We had katsu curry. Think crispy pork schnitzel with Japanese curry over top. — 4 years ago
Barnyard nose, with very little fruit. Flavor bomb! Luscious red cherry, cedar, spicy, super smooth, and not a hint of tannins. Amazing for 10 bucks. — 5 years ago
Visiting again this splendid Paulliac from the 2011 vintage. 2011 vintage was labeled as mediocre in Bordeaux and this lovely wine showed that it is actually a classic vintage with some great wines, so trust the chateau not only the vintage. The nose is tempting with notes if coffee, earth, oak, cassis, black fruits and hints of chocolate, the body is full with round tannins, acidity is splendid and finish is long. My score 92, drink to 2026, perhaps longer — 7 years ago
Second wine we tasted after our tour at Champagne Billecart-Salmon. Our tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable about the domains history and all the wines.
Copperish pink and very lively. Layered nose with roses, strawberries, light raspberries, strawberry crème, and a little herbal. High acidity (7/10) but balanced with a slightly smooth mouthfeel. Layered with strawberries, tropical fruits, kiwi, grapefruit and melon. Very fresh and crisp. Medium to medium plus body with a long finish. Drink till 2024.
Made with a minimum of 40% Chardonnay with the remainder split between Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier of which 5 to 8% is from red wine. Aged for around 3 years on the lees.

Love this wine and at $8-$12 for a price point, it's pretty awesome! — 8 years ago
Immediate aroma of plums. Initial bust of dark cherries. An incredible find for the price. — 9 years ago
Velvety mouthfeel with medium tannins. Robust red and dried fruits, finish of vanilla and graphite. Quaffable af. Would pair with lamb, rabbit, pork, cheese, hummus. Versatile. Honestly not worth it's price point. An off vintage from a delicious vinyard. Would not be hard to find a bottle 1/5 of the price. — 10 years ago
Unlike my memory of zinfandels on the beach in California, but quite compelling. Almost bitter, yet dark and soothing. Chocolate is like that. — 2 years ago

Great value. Jammy with undertones of smokiness. Goes well with winter stews and summer grilling — 6 years ago
I loved a wine, but it wasn't favored amongst other folks. Lots of vanilla and oak. Full bodied and dry. Love this! Would probably pair nicely with steak or ribs. — 8 years ago
Hint of mint on the nose. With fresh sage. Flavors are berry pies and licorice. Plenty of petite sirah and such. — 8 years ago
Fantastic wine. Floral aromatics with damp coffee grounds, cold rocks, meat, and blue/black fruits. Moderate acidity and tannin on the palette with similar fruit character and hints of pepper. Mineral and precise. — 8 years ago
Wow this 11 is up there with 09 for me @ £120 & less subtle than 10 & 13 - my kind of Sass 93-95 going 96-98 👏 20yrs in this beauty 😍

Game of thrones-esque veen. Yas. — 11 years ago
From a really fine, structured Napa vintage, this shows dark fruits and mineral notes aromatically, still has loads of Dunn Howell Mountain structure and tannin, long, lingering finish, but the finish suggests that it needs 10-20 more years of aging, simply an incredible, old school (13% ABV) Napa mountain Cabernet with amazing length and freshness, a true WOW wine (if you’re moderately unoffended by the enormous structure still remaining)!!! — 8 months ago
An excellent wine. Buttery with lots of yellow peach, honey, apricot. Silky smooth. — 3 years ago
Great nose. Good color. Nice peppery finnish. Smooth drinking. Tannins and acid are well balanced. Nice lingering finish. Fruits are mu
ddled. Lots of fruit with cherry dominant but nothing else really stands out. A fine example of Klinker Brick wine. You won't be disappointed in this wine. — 5 years ago
1 of the best Zinfandels I've had. Very smooth and full of flavor. — 5 years ago
Love! Let it breath a little and sip and enjoy! Hints of chocolate and vanilla. Very good! — 7 years ago
Started in 1972 with a simple philosophy - to focus production on only one varietal, Cabernet Sauvignon. A blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14.5% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot & 0.5% Malbec. Dark opaque Ruby with aromas of red fruits, oak, sweet herbs and spice. On the palate raspberry and blackberry flavors with notes of cacao and espresso. Fine dusty tannins, satisfying acidity on lingering smooth finish ending with sweet oak tones. Nice! — 8 years ago

Tasted 1/20/2017 At UGCB 2014 Vintage tasting in Miami. At the Biltmore.
Mixed black and red fruits on the nose, with a firm palate of cassis, earth, and and some wood. Nose a little more subdued, and lacking some of the richness of the Beychevelle at this stage, but this seems built to age and will likeley develop with time.

Really nice, smooth red blend for $14! Hints of black cherry, blackberry. — 10 years ago
Full-bodied and fruit-forward without the syrupy sweetness of most inexpensive California zins. Great $11 beach wine and even better at home for $8.50 at Total Wine! — 10 years ago
