On the nose was a toasted cedar plank, red berries and bubble gum. On the palate this vintage offers red and black berries, smoked oak, vanillin. Medium plus acidity, medium minus tannins. Smooth mouthfeel, luscious experience, ruby red colour with a cranberry hue. Perfect pairing for a cedar plank salmon. This vintage is newly released and ready to enjoy. Thanks to Mr Dick Wallingford at Rutherford ranch for the intro. 14% alc. Although I agree with the label, which recommends short ribs, I strongly recommend maple glazed smoked salmon for an excellent pairing.

Smells like bacon wrapped, chorizo stuffed dates. Very smokey, cedar planks, definite signs of carbonic maceration. Overly domestically smokey or I would have guessed northern Rhone.
