Lodi Zinfandel 2018

Sandlands really makes remarkably good wines. Even a grape varietal that I often find too big and jammy is handled with finesse for a delicate and fresh wine. — 5 hours ago

Gnarly Head

Old Vine Zin Lodi Zinfandel

Smaken är generöst fruktig, fyllig och mjuk med lätt vaniljton och inslag av mörk choklad, jordgubbar och björnbär. En given succé till smakrik mat som exempelvis lamm eller nötkött — 13 hours ago

15% abv. Fresh juicy Zin. Not so jammy like traditional ones I enjoyed it with charcuterie board. — 5 days ago

Bechthold Vineyard Cinsault 2020

@Delectable Wine oddly enough this is a Blanc de Cinsault, one of the silver linings of 2020.

When the fires hit early in harvest 2020, Will and Karen hedged their bets by pressing some of the 100+ year old vine Cinsault from the legendary Bechtold Vineyard immediately, and the result is a joy: pear, pomello, white grapefruit, some pith and white pepper on the finish. Fragrant and light.

In good news, the regular Cinsault from the vintage also turned out beautifully and isn’t showing a trace of smoke taint—or at least when I tried it a few months back.

Dark purple. Chocolate and cassis. I just googled and learned that hieroglyph and hierogram have different meaning. Learning from wine labels! 😊 — 15 days ago

Lodi Chardonnay 2020

Butterscotch candies, nutmeg, red currants. Would be a great Fall wine despite the beach-y artwork 🍂 — 8 days ago

Lodi Cinsault 2020

Popped and poured, the 2020 Cinsault pours a bright ruby with a transparent core; slight staining of the tears. Medium viscosity. Redolent of red and purple flowers, strawberry, orange, coffee, dried herbs, spices. It’s dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. The finish is savory. Fresh. Juicy. Awesome. This is what Sandlands is all about. — 20 days ago

Clements Hills Garnacha 2019

Pale red color. Sweet spice aromas. Perhaps a bit too much oak for the lightness of the wine. Alcohol also seemed a little out of balance, but still a very enjoyable and fine #Garnacha #lodi — 14 days ago
