It’s rich and full bodied with vanilla, pepper, cloves. I love this as a dessert with dark chocolate, walnuts and dried cranberries. 2014, I thought Zinfandel might’ve peaked out, but it’s pleasing.

I enjoy Zin but usually don’t usually gravitate towards it. This is balanced in an interesting way—less dark and more fruit than Seghesio but with some woody notes that carry it through. Quite enjoyable.
