Candied fruit in the nose with blackberry jam, plums and candied fruit in the palate. — 6 months ago
Pleasantly surprised by a relatively restrained oak aged Zin with plenty of interesting notes. — 7 months ago
Exceptional Zin! Huge raspberry and vanilla with a spicy finish. Round and full in the mouth with a super nice lingering finish. Going back for a case. — 8 months ago
Really quite good — 4 years ago
it’s giving dirt! In the best way. Stone fruit. Fresh acidity. Barnyard funk. I love this — 4 months ago
Dark in color. Super fruity on the nose. Blackberry and plumb notes. Peppery, leathery, earthy finish. — 6 months ago
Slightly deeper and brighter colour than the 2004 , younger looking . More ruby with a garnet rim . Really aromatic and floral , violet , mint , spiced red cherry , ripe raspberry , eucalyptus . Still really fresh and fruit driven . Some dried herbs and earthy notes in the background. On the palate this has lovely elegance and poise , with herbal red cherry , strawberry and slightly nutty notes. Quite ripe and juicy , but with fresh acidity and fine tannins . Long and fruit driven on the finish . Still young from now and over the next 10 years . — 6 months ago

I’ve waxed (eloquent? Well, at least waxed!! 🤔) about the virtues and quality of this excellent 2020 Zinfandel multiple times, but this wine is still punching well above its weight (the so-called “leftovers” that didn’t make the single vineyard cut), long finish, lovely!! Going to the Bedrock pickup party in Sonoma tomorrow to get some of the 2024s I’ve already purchased, so this is a great warmup!! — 2 months ago
