Medium Ruby with aromas of fresh berry fruits, floral and sweet spice. On the palate this medium body wine shows flavors of juicy blueberry and blackberry with notes of herbs and vanilla spice. Dusty tannin structure, lively acidity, medium ending with crisp fruit finish. Nice value. Drink now, consistent, no aging benefit. — 18 days ago
Impressive showing here with blackcurrants and leather. The finish persists for minutes and leaves you wanting more. Very classy — 23 days ago
Rare sighting. Lucky to drink them side by side. Both a bit young and powerful with so much aging potential. Massetino is mostly Merlot with some Cab Franc. Masseto is all Merlot. Distinctly different though. Massetino being the more robust and Masseto being the more elegant. Then again. So much potential. — a month ago
There’s a purity and elegance to this wine that kept me going back. Everything’s light - bright red berry, sweet tannins and subtle Mediterranean tang - but the whole has weight and … well, gravitas, with a lengthy finish. Outstanding for me. Great food wine. — 23 days ago
If anything, it’s now better than the last time I had this vintage. It was balanced, broad and fun. Still lots of fruit — just amazing body and aroma without any distractions. That’s how Brunello should be! — 12 days ago
Very dry, high high acid. Leather, smoke, cedar, minerals. Not much fruit. Higher tannins. And a good borolo flavor — 17 days ago
Mycket gott!! — 15 days ago
Darker fruit and smoke, lower acidity and beautiful tannins. Still a young wine. — a month ago
Dark berries, medium tannins, a little chalky. A nice Chianti to have with pizza. — 24 days ago
Nose - clay pot, thyme and cherry. Main flavors - cranberry. Chewy and lovely!! — 2 days ago
I bought and drank a fair amount of Allegrini Palazzo Della Torre back in the late 1990s, and always enjoyed them. First time in the past 20 years, this seems a little softer and polished, a little lower ABV (13.5 vs. 14+ in earlier vintages), this is vinified using conventional fermentation as well as some ripasso fermentation (think Amarone drying grapes on straw mats), and has some very nice complexity and length, very nice!! — 19 days ago
Beautiful and light with just a super light tannin finish. Another great bottle barn find. — 6 days ago
