Almost identical to my previous note but more refined and bolder. I was probably too tough before as this rocks! — 2 months ago

I adore all the 13/14 openings, such a fantastic CA vintage!

Laurel Glen Vineyard

Sonoma Mountain Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 1986

Sweet dried redfruits and oak aromas, soft tannins, sweet fruit on palate as well, very fine acidity and depth, seems close to fully mature, but should last 3-5 years at least, kudos to Patrick Campbell, who made a lot of outstanding LG Cabernets back in the 1980s and 1990s, excellent Sonoma Mountain Cabernet!! — 3 months ago

So bloody jealous. Have been looking for the Laurel Glen cabs from 1985-1994 for ages without success. Formative for my nascent palate in the early 90's. Can't score a bottle to save my life. F.

Screaming Eagle

Second Flight Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2014

2 hour decant(little fine sediment). A striking dark purplish magenta color. On the nose: very aeromatic notes with perfumed dark berries, forest floor, spearment, smoked meat, truffles. Taste: silky, layered, plush wine with dark plum/cherry, milk chocolate, smokey cedar, earth, and a peppery graphite medium plus dry finish. YUM! Drinks well with the decant and time to go. — a month ago

Galen Glen

Stone Cellar Grüner Veltliner 2023

2023 must have been a warmer/riper vintage due to the fact that this wine seems quite tropical. Aromas and flavors of pineapple, mango, pears and lemon/lime. Noticeable touches of minerals and white pepper on the long finish. Very fruit forward and refreshing. Crisp acidity and well rounded texture. Not a typical expression of Gru V, but pretty enjoyable. — 3 months ago

Who wants a pour? This is my perfect everyday sipper. It's getting easier to find at retail, so let's drink up!

Pennsylvania Grüner. That’s right, and a very good one at that! Well balanced with pure varietal character and age worthy over several years. — a month ago

Laurel Glen Vineyard

Counterpoint Sonoma Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 1995

Structured and somewhat tannic still, still some primary fruit but I worry the tannins will outlast the fruit, impressive showing for the second wine of Laurel Glen, our good steaks are effectively cutting the tannins, very good Cal Cab!! — 5 months ago

@Ira Schwartz, I also had a 1986 Laurel Glen Cabernet next to the bottle above, will consume that soon! And, for @Tom Casagrande, this 1995 Counterpoint was 12.5% ABV!!

Gawd, I miss the old Patrick Campbell Laurel Glen efforts. Difficult to find his main label efforts.
