Wind Gap Wines
Luna Matta & Glen Rose Vineyards Nebbiolo
My last bottle from the defunct yet memorable winery.
Smells so delicious, like a fruit yogurt
This drinks like it is fresh, with blackberry bramble, subtle and unique red fruits tucked behind the leather ones.
Tannins are still very gripping, and the acidity tames it back. A touch of heat and its off to the races!

I've been holding this for a long time but I finally decided to pull it out and blind it with some other nebbiolos... and it held up pretty nicely for being 10 years old! Lots of earthy red fruit, the alcohol is starting to show slightly. Dried flowers on the nose. #windgap #nebbiolo

May 12th, 2013Big score for me. Tons of fruit lush Nebbiolo nose of roses violets and cherry. I'd never know this wasn't from Piedmont. For a wine approaching it's 9th birthday it's still has a long life ahead of it. Truly superb
