02’ - not a huge aromatic nose but pristine presentation of grapefruit zest, white flowers, chalk, and a hint of smoke and spice. The palette feels a bit tired, the acid is medium, though the finish sticks around for a decent time. This seems past its prime, sadly. Nice soft mousse body, yellow peach, tropical melons, pineapple, some lemon meringue, lime zest, slightly bitter apple cider, whipped cream, hard chalkiness, alluvial limestone, saline, sea fossils, bread crust, yeastiness, yellow florals, racey acidity, nicely balanced & structured with a finish that lasts 90 seconds.

Wow. Love this Sardinian. The front is big and salty. My favorite with big flavored food. I have not decided on the end yet. This went down with an awesome grilled pork loin seasoned in prunes and Dijon mustard. Side was a very flavorful split pea and onion mash. — 11 years ago
