I’ve come to believe that bdx, much like Napa, is not really worth fucking with unless they’re min 8-10 years old.

Château Larose-Trintaudon

Cru Bourgeois Haut-Medoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

Good freshness. Not a bruiser. Nimble with food. Lovely wine for the price. — 2 months ago

Château Lanessan

Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

Probably my favourite Bordeaux vintage but i found this a bit lacking. Still offers a fairly good QPR. Wouldnt buy it again but would drink it again 😂 — 2 months ago

2018 vintage. Solid, sub-$20 Haut-Medoc rouge. Could do a lot worse. 3.27.24. — 2 months ago

Château Haut-Brion

Graves Red Bordeaux Blend 1989

Deep and complex. Gnarly slightly wild fruit. Earthiness, intense and yet reduced. While not the best bottle of this I’ve had it’s still pretty amazing stuff. A long life ahead — 23 days ago

Pessac-Léognan White Bordeaux Blend 2013

More expressive than HB.
Very elegant, deep and austere.
At the same time it’s able to be expressive.

Château Haut-Brion

Pessac-Léognan Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend

It has something really unique as always. But it’s so austere this year. A wine that really will need time to be enjoyed at its fullest.

Château Caronne Ste. Gemme

Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

Full bodied, dense, deep ruby Bordeaux. On the nose: dark mulberry fruit, cedar, & a touch of eucalyptus/camphor. On the palate: dark fruit, cedar and light tannins. After 40 minutes decanted the tannins recede and the soft fruit is delicious. This wine is fully mature and a terrific offering from Medoc. If you have it or can get it, drink now and enjoy! — 2 months ago

Château Haut-Brion

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

Medium ruby , slighter narrower ruby / pink rim , a little less bright . Slightly deeper , darker fruits , blueberry, violets , with scorched earth , mineral and grafite . On the palate , more intensity and power perhaps , more noticeable though still velvety tannin , dark fruits , mineral , saline , fresh cigar. Lovely fresh acidity , balanced alcohol . Long saline , mineral tinged, slightly toasty finish . Needs time obviously , but will be one of the great wines from a great vintage in 20 years, just wait — a month ago

M. Chapoutier

Domaine de Bila-Haut Occultum Lapidem Syrah Blend

NOSE: mild, cooked fruit, a little carob. Inoffensive but not especially inviting.

TASTE: cooking spices, chicory, ash, a little bitter —unsweetened minerally dark chocolate - red fruit barely present and dried. Very balanced and elegant. This is going to kill with the herb roasted chicken I’m about to eat. 91.
