20 years old & still drinking well. But drink it deliberately as it will begin to fade after 45 minutes open.
Nose of ripe fruit, tobacco, & a bit of spice. There is plenty of raisin/ripe cherry on the palate with initial strong tannin that softens and underlies the still velvety structure of the wine. It is a fully mature wine that should be consumed now as it will begin to fade in 2022. — 7 months ago
This is a beautiful wine that, at 27 yrs old, is at its peak. In the glass it has a deep youthful color with no sign of telltale oxidation at the edges. After 30 minutes decanted, the wine exhibited deep cherry, tobacco and cassis on the palate with cedar notes. The wine never faded throughout a course of grilled porterhouse steak, roasted carrots & Brussel Sprouts. Drink it now and enjoy! — a year ago
Light cherry, earthy nut and a bit of spice with light tannins make this soft, well rounded wine a delight with mushroom agnolotti and medium rare flank steak. This selection is at it peak and fruit forward. Decant for 20 minutes and enjoy! — 6 months ago
Laura Bianchi and her team continue the long family tradition of making beautiful wines. This marvelous Chianti is a good example. Its traditional style exhibits a layered structure of ripe cherry fruit & herbs accented with light tannins that make it a delight to drink. The wine is at its peak. Enjoy it! — 7 months ago

This wine has blossomed beautifully! Deep, dark cherry in the nose & on the palate with licorice/anise and spice. The finish is long and soft with underlying tannins softening after 30 minutes in the decanter. Plenty left for the cellar for 3-4 years but ready to drink now! — 6 months ago

A beautiful Brunello! 2006 is ready to drink… dark cherry, licorice, a bit of old leather with enough backbone to underline the burst of mature sangiovese fruit.
Enjoyed with seared tuna topped with roasted tomatoes and capers…Excellent!
Enjoy it now… — 4 months ago
