Wow for our youngest birth year wine this wine has tons of life to go. Easily another 10-15 years plenty of tannin and. Earth on palate. Leather, a little green bell pepper, dirt and tobacco

The icing on the cake, rich, opulent, an acidity that carries freshness and black fruit

Not against it, but it takes itself a little seriously to be my preferred style. Well made for sure.

Beautifully herbaceous nose. Savory notes of oregano, tomato, pepper. Dust and earth. Fruit hanging on but more in the background. Even with 21 years of age, the color is still purple and has yet to lose its luster. On the palate, still very rounded. Olive brine from Merlot much softer and rounder. Salt still prominent with a beautiful lingering finish. Tannins and acid still beautifully balanced. 13.5% and amazing.

Seems to be in a great spot at 20 yrs showing black & red fruits, chocolate, licorice spice with a seamless, velvety texture, cedar, leather & tobacco notes.
