Rustic and earthy upfront on the nose. Dried violet. Big cherry notes and cranberry. Great acid balancing out. 10 years in the bottle and still has lots of structure. Not the most nuanced wine, fruit short lived for me. 13% — 3 months ago
Absolutely fantastic! Fruit has fallen and given way to savory notes on the nose. Thyme, oregano, baking spices , nutmeg, tomato bisque. Great acidity and fruit lingering. Almost a bramble note of rhubarb and cherry pie. Astonishingly well balanced and huge at 13.6% — 5 months ago
Wonderfully balanced Syrah from Sonoma. Smoke, earth, leather, smoked meats , beef jerky and pepper on the nose. On the palate, lots of cranberry, medium minus in acidity but a lingering finish despite the lack of big tannins. 12.5% but this a huge intensity. Northern Rhone in style, loving this bottle. — 20 days ago
Not a bad showing. A bit of vanilla , oaky, cinnamon. Lush tannins , a bit on the sweet side , needs more time if you want tertiary notes to shine through. 14.9% — 4 months ago
Not bad, esp for $23. Great summer wine! Fizzy muscat with just the right amount of acidity. Minerality , lime, salt. Dry wine that’s not sweet at all. Green apple. 10.5% can drink this all day — 7 months ago
Expressive Pinot. Savory notes of eucalyptus , cedar, mint. Juicy stuff in the mouth. Cherry, cranberry, intense acid hanging on. Great now and will just keep getting better in the bottle. Incredibly balanced wine 13.5% — 7 months ago
Don’t sit on this one! Big Oregon Pinot. Dusty, earthy, baking spices , cinnamon , coriander. Fantastic backbone of acid, cherries, cranberry. What’s not to like, super juicy and delicious offering. Very long finish. 14.3% — 2 months ago
Polished domestic Merlot. Very savory on the nose. Almost classic Bordeaux in style , green olive and olive tapenade. Oregano and thyme with just a hint of oak hut not overly in your face. Beautiful inky hue. Lots of great tannin and acidity on the backbone of this wine. Plenty of room to keep aging. Blackberries and blueberries upfront. Fantastic finish that lingers without feeling big heat. Very well balanced at 14.5% — 3 months ago
Mother Earth in a bottle. Forest floor, earth, mushroom, cassis way in the back but present with just a touch of fig. Great tannins and acid up front. Cherry, cranberry on the palates. 12.5% and fantastic. — 7 months ago
