Outstanding. This is Bilbo Baggins favorite Pinot. Earthy forest floor, dusty loam, mushrooms, savory herbs of thyme and dried oregano. Beautifully nuanced on the nose with tons of character. Smoke and salami. Notes of cherry and bramble fruits like strawberry. Balanced acidity. 13% amazing wine for entry level stuff — 2 months ago
Don’t sit on this one! Big Oregon Pinot. Dusty, earthy, baking spices , cinnamon , coriander. Fantastic backbone of acid, cherries, cranberry. What’s not to like, super juicy and delicious offering. Very long finish. 14.3% — 6 months ago
Outstanding Costco purchase. Vegetal notes upfront, green bell pepper, salt, chalk , citrus notes as well, under ripe kiwi, lime. Beautiful amounts of acid, key lime pie , dry wine with great structure. Fantastic buy. 12.5% — 14 days ago
Super herbaceous. Thyme, soy sauce , lush fruit, fig, Jammy, not a ton of acid and tannin on the 2020. Definitely more savory Vs the FAY which I also love. Big long finish that lingers. 14.8% — 2 months ago
Beautiful wine. Cherry upfront. Fig and honey. Savory notes of thyme and oregano. Great acid on the palate , but also super fruity with cherry and cranberry. 13.5% well balanced wine. — 4 months ago
Rustic and earthy upfront on the nose. Dried violet. Big cherry notes and cranberry. Great acid balancing out. 10 years in the bottle and still has lots of structure. Not the most nuanced wine, fruit short lived for me. 13% — 6 months ago
Fantastic young BDX from the Right Bank. Immediate notes of ripe strawberry, syrup, mushroom. Palate has vibrant amounts of acidity. Cherry and cranberry. Great structure for aging. Super balanced 13.5% — 19 days ago
First time trying this type of varietal. Savory fleshy bouquet. Mushroom , forest floor, earthy loam, prune and raisin. Great backbone of acid, cherry and more prune on the palate. Lots of structure to keep aging. Very unique wine. 13% — a month ago
Wonderfully balanced Syrah from Sonoma. Smoke, earth, leather, smoked meats , beef jerky and pepper on the nose. On the palate, lots of cranberry, medium minus in acidity but a lingering finish despite the lack of big tannins. 12.5% but this a huge intensity. Northern Rhone in style, loving this bottle. — 4 months ago
