St. Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend

Ripe, modern, well-made merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon. A bit soul-less and generic to ever crave a second bottle.

Old lady holding her own very well. Mellowed but still lovely.

Exceptional saint estephe.

Outstanding! Balanced, complex and a long finale. A really satisfying Haut Marbuzet.

Tinned ravioli with meat sauce - leaves me uninspired

Nice red-purple colour with a pleasant if light plum and blackcurrant with undergrowth bouquet. The flavour is of rather bland generic merlot and slightly mouth-drying. OK but it doesn't inspire me to buy it again.
