This really does live into the moniker “Red Table Wine.” 100 year old vines. Pure sand vineyards. 75% Carignane 35% Mataro. No one varietal stands out. It’s just gutsy and deep and balanced and good. Little bit of everything: ripe fruit, earth, spice, acids, tannin. — a month ago
Deep ruby with lighter rim and lovely floral and spiced nose.
Tannins are silky smooth and well integrated.
Dark fruits on palate with balance of alcohol and acidity, AbV at 13% much lower than typical Oz Shiraz @14.5%
At 8 years this is likely at its optimal drinking age
Excellent Syrah from NZ. — 3 months ago
Thought we’d had our last bottle 4 years ago but then found this one. Probably better then, but still very nice. Definitely quite secondary, but the core of fruit and acid carries through. Wonderful pairing with dry aged strip steaks and wild mushroom risotto for our 10 year anniversary. — 14 days ago
This wine is of exceptional quality. While it may have been slightly premature to consume (released in 2021), it exhibited pronounced tannic characteristics. — 20 days ago
Light lemon color with aromas of citrus, tropical fruits and floral notes. On the palate flavors of grapefruit, green apple and pear fruit flavors, slight grassy tones, lively acidity. Medium+ finish ending with fruit, herbal, floral, citrus and mineral notes. Do not over chill so you can experience all of the nuances while you sip this fine wine. Nice, consistent. — a month ago
Winemaker dinner at Nari. This was clearly young and tasted next to the 2011 missing the depth of maturity — 2 months ago
Smooth but welcomed acidic. Triangular. Stone fruit - more-so peach. Peppery with a hint of smoke on very end. Doesn’t overstay its welcome. If it was sweet it would a dessert. — 3 months ago

The 2022 release is a hit!
Deep purple color. Aromas of black cherry, cola, dried herbs and cedar. Black and blue fruit on the palate, herbs and oak on the finish.
