Alban Roblin

Reva Alban Estate Vineyard Syrah 2003

The first Alban wine I ever had was the 2003 Reva. My last bottle of this in my cellar…and it is unreal. Still has that iodine/roasted meat character on the nose, the wine is balanced, elegant, integrated - just a fantastic bottle of wine. — 16 hours ago

Domaine Roblin

L'Enclos De Maimbray Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Bright and fresh acid without any mouthwatering pucker. Only have the faintest hint of ammonia but definitely some crushed lemon and mineral flavors. Went deliciously well with blackfin tuna seared in sesame oil and rice wine vinegar. — 2 months ago

Really nice bottle for the price, more funk than Alban Patrina plus you don’t need to hold it for 10 years

Well if you want immediate drinking with a little funk then its good to go, but Alban is the one to hold.

Alban Estate Vineyard Viognier 2020

Nice nose of orange & pear, body Soft & flavorful, but lacked acid so a little flabby with medium finish. Despite the 14.5 % alcohol, was not a “hot” wine — a month ago

John Sebastiano Vineyard Syrah 2018

As close as I’ve had to an Alban Reva at 1/3 the price. Give it years
Jeb 96 review as follows

Another wine that got a big “Wow” in the notes was the 2018 Syrah John Sebastiano Vineyard. This medium-bodied, Côte Rôtie look-alike offers a brilliant bouquet of ripe red and black berry fruits, white pepper, flowers, iron, and bouquet garni. Fresh and incredibly complex, with silky tannins and no hard edges, this is a California Syrah for the Jamet lovers out there!

My 2017 Reva’s arrived about 10 minutes after I opened this, so now do I test my theory🤔? Hmmm
