Overachieving #brouilly. Give it a half-hour or so to open up; cherry compote, faint sous bois aromas, bright acidity, sour cherry palate. Lovely, food-friendly wine with solid QPR #costcowines — 4 months ago
Here’s a #cava with gusto - let it warm up a bit in the glass, crushed stone, citrus, faint yeasty nose; fine bubbles up front on palate followed by cool salted lemon peel. Quite tasty! #costcowines — 6 months ago
Super quaffable #pinotgris - apple, white peach aromas, weighty palate with lots of acidity, green apple, peach, goes down too easy. Great QPR for under $8 #costcowines — 16 days ago
Marvelous QPR #willamettevalley #pinotnoir. Tart cherry, forest floor, some mushroom notes. Lovely sour cherry fruit continues on palate, imminently food friendly, elegant cuvée, silky tannins on finish. What a bargain at $13 #costcowines — 3 months ago
What a darling #champagne! Nose fairly closed when cold, touches of yeasty notes. Palate is incredible, dosage is perfect, so much verve and energy with fine bubbles on the palate. Need to pick up more of this. #costcowines — 5 months ago
This wine pours a clear rust red. It has aromas of leather on the nose. It has flavors of dried fruit that are restrained a bit. Strong structured tannins were present which I think is a trade mark. We decanted the wine for about 90 minutes first. It went very well with the grass fed ribeyes and lobster we cooked for my son-in-law’s birthday. That said, I was expecting more. I really thought it would blow me away and it didn’t. It was good, just not great. I don’t think it was too expensive at Costco. Although I got it before I kept track of how much I paid for wines. #barolowine #nebbiolo #piedmontwines #italianwines #costcowines — 7 months ago
Dazzling value from #costcowines. Letting this one warm up quite a bit will reward you with a beautiful nose: apricot, persimmon, touch of lemon, faint lemongrass. Lovely palate balance, touch of zippy spice on the end. Ludicrous value at $16 these days for #sancerre — 2 months ago
Enjoyable Cru Beaujolais - dried cherry, cured meat, nutty caramel nose. Balanced palate, earthy laid-back fruit, prominent chewy tannins and dried fruit on a long finish. #brouilly #costcowines — 5 months ago
Enjoyable #languedoc #vermentino #marsanne #grenacheblanc blend - medium plus body, golden yellow color. Melon, some nutty & honey notes on nose, interesting salty note from Vermentino on the palate. Could be interesting wine paired with charcuterie. #costcowines — 7 months ago

Excellent high-QPR SV #napa #cabernetsauvignon. It leans “Old Worldish” but still has plenty of big fruit up front, nicely balanced, some coffee and subtle earthy undertones -and velvety tannins to close out. Call this the “Anti-Caymus” 💣 #costcowines — 10 days ago
