Kosta Browne

Keefer Ranch Pinot Noir 2013

We tasted nine Kosta Browne Pinots from 2005-2013, all from the Keefer Ranch vineyard. The 2013 definitely tasted youthful, even slightly tannic. Got better in the glass in time. #7 — 13 hours ago

Massolino

Serralunga d'Alba Barolo Nebbiolo 2016

Wine Spectator #7 This family-owned winery, founded in 1896, is run today by fourth-generation brothers Franco and Roberto Massolino. Located in the heart of the village of Serralunga d’Alba, the 100-acre estate is known for its single-vineyard Barolos from Margheria, Parafada, Parussi and Vigna Rionda, yet it’s their classic-style Barolo from the excellent 2016 vintage that earns a spot on our list for its quality and value. A blend of Nebbiolo from parcels in Briccolina, Le Turne, Collaretto, Broglio and Damiano in Serralunga, with 5 percent from Parussi in Castiglione Falletto, the wine aged 29 months in 5,000-liter Slavonian oak casks. — 10 months ago

Nice bottle, I stopped lusting after top 100 bottles a while ago, but always pleased when stuff we're buying does land in there. No. 9 is an annual buy for us.

Easy to dismiss but totally awesome. Distinct raspberry note, with an underlying fuller note of cardamon or similar spice. Glass #7 at Asta. — 3 months ago

Dehlinger Winery

Estate Bottled Goldridge Vineyard Pinot Noir 2007

Tasting of 10 of the 2007-2011 Dehlinger Pinots. Eva Delingher was kind enough to join our tasting and answer all of our random questions. I found this one to be a bit restrained and the group agreed. My #7 of 10. — 6 months ago

Seghesio Family Vineyards

Sonoma County Old Vine Zinfandel 2007

Wine Spectator #7 Wine of the Year 2010. Scents of raspberries and blueberries intertwined with briar patch spices. Ripe raspberry and blueberry flavors persist. A hint of creamy oak and a silky and refined texture with a juicy character. Juicy acidity and integrated tannins smooth the finish. — 9 months ago

Ramnista Single Vineyard Xinomavro 2016

Greek wine evening, wine #7
My all time favorite!
Dried cherries, wilted flowers, very Barolo-esque - intriguing, engaging.
Drinking beautifully, with juicy yet firm tannins, succulent cherries, so balanced and drinkable. Great depth & character.
Absolutely love it!!

Octopada

Macabeo 2019

#7 Advent wine, Macabeo wine, not heard of it before, from Spain. It didn't have much taste after open for awhile, smooth but I like some tasting notes, and I don't even have covid. Sharing with Tom. — a year ago
