Tasting of 10 of the 2007-2011 Dehlinger Pinots. Eva Delingher was kind enough to join our tasting and answer all of our random questions. I found this one to be a bit restrained and the group agreed. My #7 of 10.

Bright red fruit. Cherry and plasticine. Quite forward and a little candied- but enjoyable.

Registered as one of the Best Pinot’s in a while. Bold fruit. Soft on the palette. Plums. Strawberry shortcake.

After all these years this wine is filled with distinction and delicate fruit. A textbook wine on balance.
A perfect "gourmand wine"

Dehlinger 2007 Goldridge Vineyard 33 year old vines RRV Pinot Noir
There is a "lightness" that defines everything about this wine; nothing concentrated or over-extracted, and the acidity provides a lively freshness.
It has a lighter garnet color with a faint tinge of orange. The nose mimics the palate. This epitomizes typical Russian River Valley fruit in experienced hands. A hint of strawberry compliments luscious cherry and cherry vanilla, supported by a light minerality, pencil shavings and forest. Extra smooth with everything in balance. This is a beautiful wine. It paired very nicely with traditional Midwestern Thanksgiving dinner, and might be even better with a simply prepared sockeye salmon.

Very delicious as David Chang would say. Supple and elegant with great layers of red fruit and baking spices. One of the best examples of delicacy without compromising taste.

The Dehlinger goldridge nose. Superb, one of the most perfumed MF aromatic wines I've had. Great yet I think the 2008 is a bit better integrated this is a bit spicy and acidity is higher. Still delicious.
