Another solid vintage of this consistent Tuscan Red. Blend of primary Sangiovese with some Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blended in. Medium ruby red color. Aromas of red and black berry/currant fruit with hints of coffee and meat. The palate shows plum, cherry and strawberry fruit flavors with additional notes of tobacco, menthol, iron and spices. Quince, white fruits, some apple onthe nose. Mineral sense. Mineral and light on the palate, white fruited, really nice 12° Perfect w homemade Pork Char Siu.
A nose combining smoke , florals & citrus. In the mouth lemon and grapefruit along with ripe fresh peach and apricot. A little more creaminess than I prefer but no arguing with how well made the wine was . Lingering finish. — a month ago
