The nose is utter madness and already operating at a perfect level. Lanolin, hand lotion, plantain, sweet lime juice, lemon zest, complex pear, apple, wild mint, birthday cake and an almost Northern Rhône-like richness, all filtered through the crystalline atmosphere of the Mosel. Unbelievably deep and complex, yet elegant enough to feel like vapor. The palate is stunning, with much more acidity and freshness than when I tasted it in summer 2023, along with tremendous purity, grip, juiciness, finesse and perfect balance. The finish is extraordinarily long. Still showing some inverted architecture and clearly needs time to fully open, but the raw material is monumental. The nose is a 10, perhaps more. The palate keeps the wine at 9.8 for now. — 4 days ago

Transformative. That Mosel balance but with the PG tropicality.

Nose: yellow flowers. Apricot flower. So perfumed. So so pretty.

Palate: perfect. Gossamer. Perfect texture. Apricot extract. Amazing.

A very detailed and elegant PG auslese. They can be quite forward in a tropical way. This is so elegant

Beautiful, classic Grafenberg. The nose is ripe and generous, led by apple and pear, with peach, apricot and slaty minerality underneath. The palate is juicy, clean and complete, with ripe melon, good acidity and lovely freshness. Everything is balanced and exactly where it should be. Very solid. — 12 days ago

Just awesome. Insane spice and mulberry on the nose along with oolong tea and a suave, sleek, stunningly textured palate with silky tannins and unreal clarity of fruit. Just delicious. Unbelievably lush today with gorgeous cranberry fruit and a sweet bitter note that fleshes out with acidity all the way in your lower back gums. Gorgeous texture. Haunting. A hot day and Cambodian modern at@Mawn restaurant, so natch. Not the greatest glasses but serviceable enough.
Mouth filling orchard fruit with a decidedly underripe peach quality, white flowers and a refreshing peppery, stony wash of a finish. This was an accompaniment wine, no studying, swishing ( well, a bit), or developing in the glass. Got along perfectly with roasted Dorade, Sweet/Sour/Chili Head on Soft Shell Shrimp, begging for another glug.Texturally interesting as the entry was round, flattened out and finished with a snap. Our waitress was very curious and highly approved of her portion. No rough edges here. Happiness all around.

Stunning. Confectionary peach and apricot, tiny petrol note, then saline sea-breeze complexity, almost like the greatest swimming pool in the world. Palate is dry, juicy, concentrated, energetic, with terrific tension and outrageous inner-mouth aromas. Fruit is youthening up as it opens. 9.4 to 9.5 overnight. Much more finesse. — 2 months ago

Outrageous. Just crazy. Huge herbals. Huge florals. Tree bark, citrus stem, unreal aromas. Confectionary. Nose is a 9.9. Just incredible. Palate is just killer. Super elegant and deep with a midpalate I can get lost in. Superb fruit soak and unreal purity. Gently concentrated. Pure apple, melon and apricot fruit. Drinking so well now. After 16 hours open this continues to develop amazingly. Unreal confectionary nose. Some classic vulcanized rubber and unreal clarity. This is genius. Smarties nose. Palate is so fine and nimble but it’s got some weight and heft. Juicy and so clean. Icing on a cake texture. Just stunning. — 6 months ago
