Has held up beautifully with balanced flavor profile and soft satisfying finish. Great pairing with baked trout, beet medley with cream caper sauce & roasted brussels — 5 months ago
Plum, boysenberry notes up from by with a smooth sweetness taste. Very nice — 5 months ago
Really incredible and dense. Thought it was excellent and took about 2 hrs to open. So much excellent dirt. — 7 months ago
1hour decant(some chunky/fine sediment). A striking still dark magenta color with little bricking. On the nose: Inviting notes of sweet red/blue fruit, smoked meat, floral, worn leather, nutmeg, wet forest floor. Taste: velvety, smooth, elegant, savory mature wine with dried cherries, cocoa, leather, scorched earth, and a minerally mocha long lingering finish. YUM!! — 8 months ago

I had a 1997 just over 2 years ago. Even with a 4 hour decant it wouldn’t budge. Still have a mag of 97, I don’t know when to even think about opening that one.
Fantastic lovely after 23 years still have a lot of life left well made — 10 months ago
Very good, but still tannic and needs time. Well made wine. — 9 years ago

Super dark. Cocoa and baking spice on the nose. Plum. Stewed fruits. — 6 months ago

Delicious and will only get better with more bottle age. — 7 years ago
Decanted for 90 mins and was impressed. Depth of the second half of the bottle after 24 hours was even more impressive. Big range on this. Dark rich fruits and the lead is the nose as others have said. I’ll be back (yes! I wrote that before realizing what I was writing). My first experience with a Turnbull was a success. — 8 years ago
Bright, effervescent pet nat ~ crisp notes of apple, pear and slightly almond with a zesty lemon finish — 5 months ago
1.5 hour decant(little fine sediment). A striking dark magenta color. On the nose: Inviting notes of dark berries, sandalwood, herbaceous, smoked meat, potting soil. Taste: silky, layered, balanced wine with dark plum/cherry, dried herbs, spice, and a cedar/mocha java lingering long finish. YUM!! — 5 months ago

Great aftertaste; complex flavors; full bodied; — 6 months ago
Black cherry & blackberry with dark fruit, soft tannins and dark cherries in the palate. Paired well with a smoked cheese and spicy ham. — 8 months ago
This one is a showstopper. Complex and big. Heavy but with grace. Some really nice cab sauv components (88%) but you definitely get the petit Verdot (12%) too. Cassis, plum, blackberry fruits lead out but with some smoked cigar and tobacco leaf that is undeniable. Graphite and menthol. Its balanced perfectly with firm tannins and large acidity. Persists for a while. Gotta end the night with this one. — 2 years ago
Silky smooth merlot. — 9 years ago

Post dinner party notes. Third bottle I’ve had of this and by far the best yet. Amazing. Such a complex nose, with roasted herbal notes, dark spicy fruit, earthy mineral iodine notes Tannins just about completely resolved. Length and depth for days. Wow. — 4 months ago
