On the nose a stable, dark fruit, wet leaves, licorice. A big wine in other words, this Super Tuscan blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 15% Alicante, 10% Sangiovese and 5% Cabernet Franc. Cheap and cheerful Italian red from Trader Joes. A blend that's primarily Sangiovese, it's pretty subtle and doesn't leave that powerful red tang on the finish. Slightly dry, certainly not complex, but quaffable. — 13 years ago
