Saffredi Maremma Toscana Super Tuscan Blend

Great structure, full bodied, earthy, dark juicy berry, a little peppery.

I finally had my first taste of this small, often lauded, producer of super Tuscan wines. I liked it, on the darker side it reminded me in style of Le Macchiole.

I like the 2011 more, the 2012 is more green.

Fantastic super Tuscan. Full bodied, complex and lengthy on the palate. Mushroom, herbs, touch of cocoa, violets. An exceptional and unique wine!

My first attempt to enjoy this wine and it is corked ☹️ Fortunately I have one more in the cellar. ✖️✖️✖️✖️✖️

Intense fruit aroma with a hint of oak. It gains weight as we drink. It is a bit sour and has a light touch of bitter after taste on the pallet. Flavour profile should develop further as it ages.
