I have always enjoyed their wines. I like the dark expresso notes they give and under Antinori their portfolio continues to improve.

As of 2021, their Artemis will be made from the Conn Creek vineyards they acquired; which should raise its quality and price point I’m sure.

As for the 21 SLV, it showed well and one of the better young SLV’s I’ve had in a while. 94-96.

A highly perfumed nose evokes fresh honeydew melon Meyer lemon pear nectar and white flowers and a smoky mineral nuance builds as the wine opens up. Sappy concentrated and incisive on the palate offering intense citrus and orchard fruit flavors and chamomile and saffron flourishes. Decant and pour. A splendid dark purplish garnet color. On the nose: inviting aeromatics jump from the glass with dark cherry jam, graphite, herbaceous, vanilla oak, floral.
