Opened and aerated. Bouquet of dry dirt cherry! initial taste of dry dusty cherries. Middle of old world dryness. Finishes with the medium dryness of dusty grapes. A great French wine. — 5 months ago
Phenomenal with our lamb. So smooth and silky. — 6 months ago
50% Cab Sauvignon 35% Merlot some Cab Franc and PV
Well integrated tannins, nice rich berry nose and great balance fruit and acidity on the palate. At eight years has still time to mature more but showing it’s there for the long run.
Very nice package overall — 7 months ago
For me, this is perfectly aged. Still some nice fruit, but loads of clay-like minerality and cedar in the nose. Soft and palate-coating but with nice balance, the tannins are still present but are not obtrusive. Really long, clingy finish. Really fine. — 10 months ago

This is very nice wine.
Listening to The Strokes and wondering where rock n roll went. It's completely vanished. I mean new rock bands- they don't exist. The charts are dominated with this disgusting pop/rap/country mashup. Somebody please name a solid rock band (that the masses know about) that has formed in the last 5 years. — 4 months ago

All kinds of savory herbs and black fruits up in here. — 11 years ago
Surprise, surprise... Picked from the list of the restaurant to replace a corcked Mouton 1995, this was the positive surprise of the day for me. From a modest vintage, and a modest price point of around 35€, this blew away many multi 100€ bottles from the table today!
Profile was very round and sweet. Most of the tasting group placed this in napa valley when presented blind. — 3 months ago
Expressive nose with black fruits and leathery notes. Needs a decant but certainly approachable now. Nice firm tannins. — 4 months ago
Second wine of Chateau Phelan Segur wine, deep Ruby red color, with aromas of ripe dark fruits, spice and floral herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum with cacao, toasty oak and cinnamon spice. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, smoky spice, oak and earthy mineral character. — 5 months ago
Beautiful wine, decant before hand for the best nose. — 7 months ago

2022 vintage. From a 375ml bottle. The St. Estèphe exception that proves the rule. Super-delicate cocoa powder with sumptuous richness throughout. Light-medium body. Cos is an outlier on the right. This is on the left. Nearly everything else is in between, hammer and nail 3D BDX...dry, dirty and distinctive. Excellent quality BDX to woo initiates with. 6.26.26. — 2 months ago
