Reserva- 2017- single vineyard- Tempranillo, garnacha and viura. Deep ruby color. On the nose, dark jammy and ripe berry, some oak and light smoke. On the palate, dark berry, jammy, dark cherry, oak, smoke and nice long finish with oak, jammy berry and vanilla. Full bodied wine with nice chewy tannins — 2 years ago
Superbt vin! Makalöst bra Rioja. Hela registret med fat, malda hasselnötter, mineral och smör. — 3 years ago
So tight even after 6 hours of air. Really singular. Not much in common with its Provençal brethren (sistren?). Cranberry, rose petals, cherry heering. Massive tannins, little discernible heat. Angular. Attenuated nose. Hold for now, but if you must drink, decant the day before. Fun wine to geek out on. — 4 years ago
This remains one of my favorite wines. So much flavor, and so singular. — 7 years ago
Whereas most of Bandol's top estates concentrate themselves in the appellation's center, Domaine de Terrebrune, a personal favorite, finds itself on the eastern edge. While its name may connote heavier soils, a bedrock of limestone gives Terrebrune's wines their finesse and ethereal precision. With flavors of rounded river rocks, cherry pit, raspberry, Bergamot orange peel, and sweet garden herbs, the Terrebrune 2016 demonstrates why Bandol is such a singular place for top tier rosé. 50% Mourvèdre, 25% Grenache, 25% Cinsaut. — 7 years ago
Consistently good. Prior review of this wine and vintage holds up. — 2 years ago
Love this Cuvée. First time trying 2017, which Bouchard clearly nailed. Elected to not decant, and just go with a Burgundy glass. It’s highly aromatic for Champagne, revealing layers of rich orchard fruits, perfumed citrus oils and a touch of gun smoke. The palate is creamy and satiny, so textural and so giving. Such a singular, vinous Champagne and the perfect example of Bouchard’s style. Love these wines, and really impressed with how well 2017 is drinking already. — 3 years ago
My second time having this ultra rare bottle, it has to be one of my absolute favorite Champagnes. Coming from 70+ year old vines (given to Guillaume on his 18th birthday from his grandmother), this singular and stunning bottling shows layers and layers of caramelized orchard fruit, roasted nuts, toffee, oak spice, and a touch of lavender, all held together by its chalky minerality. There is incredible depth on the palate, with a seamless marriage of richness and elegance. Wow, I wish I had more of this in my life 😅 — 3 years ago

An exercise in texture. Oil and wax. Singular in style. If you told her you needed space she’d just shrug and say sure. — 6 years ago
(Disgorged 1/18)- This has always been my favorite Blanc de Noirs and one of the first “ah ha” Selosse wines for me some years ago. The south facing La Côte Faron is particularly “Selossien” and therefore in my mind very singular, with its oxidative complexity, textural richness and generous sun kissed ripe fruit expression. Like all Selosse wines, it’s layered and particularly aromatic for Champagne with intense caramelized red berry fruit, licorice and wildflower honey. The palate shows tremendous volume and intensity with a powerful, full bodied and satiny texture and a long, vibrant, mineral finish. So good. — 2 years ago
Such a deep, complex and aromatic nose. Deep mid season cherry and overwhelming spice. Such stunning spice. Singular. Super earthy and mineral. Like a MSD 1er Cru or SLB Dominode. But so elegant and precise. Really stunning nose. A nose one can sniff and sniff. 9.7 nose. Genius. Leaves. Sweet leaves and sweet spices. Baking spices and such vivid cherry fruit. OMH the purity, finesse and balance here are just divine as is the sweetness. Such sweet cherry fruit and dense yet nimble. This is so stunning and so insane. Balance is perfect. This really is special. Amazing length and just as pure as pure can be. So complex, tangy sweet and fresh. Just spellbound by this.
After a few hours this is a dazzler and the complexity and ethereal qualities light up. The sweetness that was initially there is now balanced by pronounced minerality. Thrilling Pinot. — 4 years ago
New Year’s Eve leftovers forgotten (open) in the fridge after an epic night and a full day of napping. So after 36 hours it’s still pretty righteous amber bliss, a bitter edge with singular notes of butterscotch, anise, petrol, citrus rind, pine, and the faintest bit of untanned leather on the way way back....nice performance. very easy late morning armchair drinking. vendor says 2015 but the bottle is not marked. — 4 years ago
Really good. Dry and fruity. Easy to drink — 7 years ago
Rarely disappoints and always a changing flavor and aromatic profile over the course of an evening. Always the classic Vatan traits, citrus , minerals, spearmint , ripeness but not heaviness but always evolving and rotating.
As I have said before a singular wine. — 7 years ago
