Great dark cherry fruit with exposed tannins. Not much earth and tar. Great Barolo to pair with many Italian foods. — 4 years ago

I'm not sure if this is a different bottling than there normal DOC Barbera, but this is bottle was much better than any Ratti wine I've had in the past (including their Baroli). The perfect lunch wine. — 10 years ago
Fresh late season cherries, some raspberries and mulberries. Some spice, it started out roses, some violets, and the menthol note is grown big. Tannins, very woody-flavored tannins, along the roof of the mouth. Tannins recede and cherries grow over a few hours. It’s a light, elegant wine in the prime of its life. It was like $28. I’d hold on to a lot more of it. I love nebbiolo. Drank it watching the chi. — 4 years ago

Such a beautifully expressive & high toned Langhe, if only other Langhe's could give back so much at a young age. — 7 years ago
Yes please. All of this. Tobacco, forest floor, wet stone, boysenberry, very elegant — 8 years ago
Huge fan! Wonderful tannins and a bold personality. I always feel I can find something new in the finish. Fantastic price point as well. — 9 years ago
Yow. Nose calm. Palate has nice weight. Finish is insane. — 9 years ago

The 1990 has a lovely light almost herbal nose with a fairly dark red color with minimal browning of the edges & a moderate body with good complexity & good acid & balanced tannins & lovely complex aftertaste. It will last 5-15 years in a cool cellar. — 6 years ago
Light with a full body finish 👌🏽 — 7 years ago
Thank you Franci. 2005 intense petrol from the start on the nose developing to grappa aromas. Palate displaying smooth subtle raisin raspberry. A touch of earth. No truffle but there wants to be — 7 years ago
Amazing ! Deep fruits, easy to drink floral aromatics! Drinks like a much more expensive wine! — 9 years ago

Stumbling on a Dolcetto from Fenocchio is like finding a discarded sketch from DaVinci. Took a while to open up but gave hints of dark fruits. Relatively dry (despite the name) with grippy tannins. With weeknight shish taouk. — 2 years ago
