Roero Arneis 2023

Really well made, harmonious wine. Balanced and polished nothing really sticks out but at the same time it remains very drinkable. Enjoyed with Vitello tonato in the sun — 2 months ago

Le Rocche del Falletto di Serralunga d'Alba Barolo Nebbiolo 1999

Mature but still with legs. Earthy, mushrooms, weighty. Solid but a bit underperforming for me. — 5 months ago

Valmaggiore Nebbiolo d'Alba 2021

Deep Ruby color with aromas of rich berry fruits and floral spice, aged for 14 months in French oak. On the palate flavors of cherry, plum and raspberry flavors, with leather, cacao, spice, herbs and tobacco notes. Lively acidity, fine chewy tannins, medium+ finish ending with spicy mineral and earthy oak. Nice! — 10 months ago

Poggio San Polo

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2013

The 2013 vintage enjoyed Classic cool weather, and the 2013 San Polo reveals what old time Brunellos were like prior to global warming. It is medium bodied, colorful, with persistent fruit and underbrush aromatics; flavorsome, balanced, crisp and energetic with refined tannins. Lovely wine. — 4 months ago

Tenuta Col d'Orcia

Poggio al Vento Riserva Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2015

One of the best Italian wines I've had recently. Deep, juicy cherry and plum notes dominate. Well-rounded, elegant. Great with some chocolate or a lighter pasta dish with lean meat. — 5 months ago

Rabajà Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2004

Quite deep ruby garnet core with garnet rim . Aromatic and quite deeply spicy on the nose with liquorice , dried spices , red cherry , red plum , rose . On the palate this is quite intense and tannic, red cherry , red plum , saline with smoky , tobacco , liquorice hints . Firm tannins with fresh acidity , sweet spice and ripe red fruit . Good length , this still is pretty young and needs more time . Better in another 5-10 years and will last well a further 10-15 — 2 months ago
