Tis is a beautiful wine-perfectly balanced. Notes of cherry and leather on the nose. Velvety mouth feel, medium bodied with dark fruits. Brilliant lasting finish.
Always a treat to drink! Leather, smoke, tar-with notes of cassis, blackberry. And a hint of fig. The flavors morphed nicely as the wine opened up. Perfect with salmon cooked on the Big Green Egg.
Very nice work, notable density; taut and with excellent structure. Toasted almonds, bright apple, balanced acid, long finish. A pleasure & fabulous with seafood.
WOW. Lemon zest on the nose with slight salinity. Begins crisp and bright in the mouth and moves into a luscious full bodied mouth feel with lemons, mineral and salt. Perfectly balanced. Doesn’t resemble your typical Sauvignon blanc!
This is Austrian SB from a top producer not specializing in Riesling or Gruner. Zieregg is the GC level wine. A revelation. Nose shows stone, spices and Smokey undertones. palate is as described by Val above. I would add a bit of tropical fruit. This is a candidate for WOTM and worth seeking out. Needs a couple of hours in the decanter to show at its’ best.
