Tuscan Villa on the label. Looks opulent. Wine is a pretty color. Garnet. Aroma is rose hip tea, hibiscus drinks and damask rose. Flavors are nice. Floral and sensuous. Maybe a bit flinty. Fruit driven, but not sweet. Cherry pits. Hint of Russian black currant and cherry flavored tea. Nice cedar streak. Hint of fresh ground pepper corns. This has character. It’s a great deal for such a defined Sangiovese. — 8 days ago

vintage 2016 | 80% nebbiolo, 15% vespolina, 5% croatina. Ten years old and fully alive and kicking. Brownish colour, tertiairy tones in smell. Very good balance, integrated tannines. I loved the bouquet: stinky in the positive way, spices, stewed fruit. A hint of manure. A Piëmonte nebbiolo that I like. Paired with a lasagne. — a month ago
