Château Pradeaux

Bandol Mourvedre 1988

1988. My birth year. I dont remember much about that time of my life but this bottle wont be forgotten in the crevasses of time either.

What was striking was that this 35 year old still had some years left, some structure and still needed a few swirls to open. Boot leather and a really pleasant smoke scent came out. Mild baking spice, and dried fruit. Was totally enjoyable. Would love to have compared it to a younger version.

Domaine Tempier

Cuvée La Tourtine Bandol Mourvedre Blend 1988

[En Magnum] This is really a fabulous old Tempier “La Tourtine”, soft, balanced, just hitting its maturity and capable of further aging, very long, lingering finish, outstanding old Tempier! — 3 months ago

Dry, slight pear taste. As a result wine drinker, I don’t normally drink rose but while in Provence have been trying different ones. This is my fav so far. — a month ago

Château Pradeaux

Bandol Mourvedre - Cinsault Rosé Blend 2021

After 2 years of storage, I’m trying this again on a gorgeous 65-degree Sunday. Still tasty, but more raisin on the nose and the acidity is definitely fading. Smooth and mellow at this point, but might be nearing the end of its drinking window. — 3 months ago

Clos Ste. Magdeleine

Cassis Blanc Marsanne Blend 2022

Delicate nose of green mango rind, tart green citrus, maybe wet sea sand, with a touch of hay, with some slight bakers goods notes underneath. Light bodied, grassy and mineral on the palate, with notes of honeydew melon, maybe some ash, underripe green fruits, maybe herbaceous notes, but slightly creamy on the finish, with a palate or maybe green lush grass. Very interesting! — 5 months ago
