Poured into a Boa decanter about 30min prior to service. The 2016 “Santa Chiara pours a brilliant, deep and slightly hazy copper gold color with medium+ viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with desiccated apricots, dried apples, yellow flowers, and curaçao. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium- tannins. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is super long and super amazing. This is such a wonderful bottle of Bea. When his whites hit, well…they really hit. Drink now with a short decant or over the next 3-5 years. Medium to full bodied with very nicely balance tannins. Earthy nose, round and fuller on the backend. Delicious and want to revisit. — 7 months ago
A amazing...!!! Eucalyptus. Oak some minty hints..still vibrant. Is this a Barolo?? Drying tannins...yes definitely but a modern expression of it. I think they use French barriques here... supposedly 2003 was a hot year and the wine would not hold up... guess what??? It did and it can still go for another 5, maybe 8 or 10 more years... there are no even signs of oxidation.. the color is vibrant ruby... this is why I drink wine !!! — 5 years ago

Skin contact. Dry. Delicious. Aromatic. Such a great “young” orange wine. Plenty of legs on this. — 7 months ago
Ruby red color with aromas of dark berry fruit, smoke and earthy herb spices. On the palate this Nebbiolo showed flavors of cherry and plum, with licorice and oaky pepper spice. Fine soft tannins on medium+ finish ending with smoke and earthy character. Nice value! Drink now! — 9 months ago
Required almost 2 hours of decanting. It was quite the experience because this Barolo continued to evolve and provide new flavours throughout the night. Plums, figs, berries, strawberries, raspberries, followed by vanilla, oak, humidor notes, earth, mild herbaceousness, truffles. Tannins are big, chewy but soft and persist for a long time. It’s a complex wine that provides gifts of new flavours that are very well integrated. — 5 years ago
Wonderful as always. We are doing a tasting between big Bordeaux glasses vs regular white glasses vs champagne glasses. I preferred the champagne glass my wife the big Bordeaux glass. Love the fresh floral notes. — 8 years ago
Good on day 4. Black. Freisa, Cab, Merlot. — 8 years ago
Feels like infanticide to drink such a young Barolo, but a lot going on here already. Powerful yet delicate with nice crushed dark fruit notes. — 10 years ago

Very good table wine!! At Adam and Amanda’s. — 4 months ago
Probably my favourite producer of Barolo...never had a bad bottle. This is young with bracing tanins but it is already so approachable. Cherries, leather and menthol dominate but there is so much depth. Lovely wine! — 7 months ago
