Drank this wine with Tania while at Sherry’s — 18 days ago
Thick and dark. Tasting notes cigar box and lead pencil shavings. I am not able to identify those. But definitely chewy. I love this because after this bottle is finished there will be no need to open another bottle. Taking a long time to drink this. Savoring every sip. Heavy and enjoyable. This is why I prefer red wine. — a month ago

Surprisingly restrained on the oak, so it’s a better expression of the grape and place than you see in most Napa chards. Straw greet with hay yellow blended between, the nose has hints of the brioche-oak identity, but is mostly pronounced white, fresh stone fruits, vanilla, and a hint of lemon tart. The flavor is bold, oaky, but fresh and not to weighty. It’s not normally my favorite style, but it’s a good example of the way it can be done well, and more balanced than most, with a finish of crisp ripe yellow apple, with a baked cinnamon note fluttering in the back. — 8 days ago
