Pretty dark purple in color. Aroma has a big caramel impression with some dried fruits layered in - think date. Body is heavy syrup like that finishes velvety. Great balance between a tart acidity and medium sweetness. Age has been very kind to this bottle. — 4 months ago

Was worried that this would be fruity and oaky. I should’ve known not to worry. The nickel family is serious about this wine. It’s very dark and I fear too young. Stood up very well with steak and punched back. Hit it with 100% pure oxygen and it’s still tight. Has some nice savory notes hiding the fruit here. Feel like I’m eating the wine.
