Dry rose, almost neon pink colour with pretty clementine (?) nose. Nice thick mouthfeel with juicy taste of raspberry and oranges that has just the right amount of acidity. Clearly benefitted from a good vintage but comes recommended and is good value. — 8 years ago
I went through several Barolos/Barbarescos this week and going on to this is as seamless a transition as you can imagine. The resemblance is uncanny, although there is a noticeable purely optic difference--the color of this wine is a neon-bright magenta, almost Beaujolais-like. That leads to super-pure fruit on the palate (not showing even a bit of its oak) but the main thing I find remarkable here is the textural refinement. It starts out soft and satiny even though the grape variety's typically strong tannins build up and firm up the wine on the back end. — 9 years ago

Neon pee colour, over ripe nectarine and heaps of honey. Great length. Too good. $35 — 10 years ago
Just what I've come to expect from a really lively Rioja: drinkable on its eon but robust enough to stand up to heartier foods like a good chicken dish, pasta with meat sauce, even pizza. — 10 years ago
Bright yellow, almost neon. Jolly rancher and a lil sulphuric. Rich honey on the palate. P&M from France. — 7 years ago
Monday club - blue/black fruit, eucalyptus, neon — 8 years ago
So clean and pure. Neon-bright, pristine red fruit. Beneath that, hay and wet pavement. Perfect acidity, to say this wine is easy-drinking would be a massive understatement. Made under the watchful eye of Alsatian guru André Ostertag with biodamically grown grapes. — 9 years ago
Colour neon like Halloween lights! — 12 years ago
I love the color of this wine. Deep neon purple. Soft tannins and so easy to drink. You could sit on the couch all day with this while watching Jaws or The Martian. @Todd Abrams told me he thought it was great idea and would do the same. — 8 years ago
This is so neon-bright in the glass that I could easily have taken it for Beaujolais. The magenta color is practically glowing. But once you take a whiff, we're clearly in Chinon, as you get a big smack of tobacco and funky earth scents. On the palate it combines both personalities. It's oozing with bright, primary fruit but not in that generic natural wine "fresh and juicy" fashion - while it's definitely vibrant (and needs a heavy shake to ditch its CO2), it has a rich, saucy density and the fresh fruit isn't here at the expense of the classic Chinon funk. — 8 years ago
The colour of neon blood, it’s a powerfull and juicy wine with a deep blueberry and fig nose. The high alcohol is controlled by a backbone of tannins. Big flavours with blackberry, vanilla and dark fruit with chocolate fudge in the long finish. A julio iglesias kind of wine. — 9 years ago
I always get a tinge of anxiety when I taste the new vintage of an old favorite. Thankfully d'Oupia is still delicious. A little more austere and bigger/bolder than a Provence rose, but this one hits all the marks for me, including its on-trend nearly neon pink color. "Drink me"!! — 9 years ago
Extremely impressive and opulent wine - the wine is extremely thick and almost glows with this neon purple hue. On the nose, there is plenty of creamy oak, but the wine maker has preserved some of the stress and menthol notes coming off the high altitude. The mouthfeel is as full bodied as anything, with not detectable heat. Good amounts of layered fruit and a slight touch of minerality moves into HUGE, scructured and long tannins. This wine is single vineyard and impressive. I would argue that it is better than anything Camus, Silver Oak or any of the other big name Napa guys do for the price. — 9 years ago
2007 vintage ... Juno snowstorm night ... Loads of flavor, neon green color — 9 years ago
Beautiful neon gold. Straw, lime peel, green herbs (chive?), ripe pineapple, wet stone. A nice roundness to go with gravely acid. Rather consistent nose/palate. As it warms, weight picking up, getting waxy from roussanne. Complexity picking up. Some wet oak showing up in nose. Good stuff... — 10 years ago
