An amazingly great young Barolo from la morra. A winner!! — 3 years ago
More PLEASE - very well crafted…evident ;) Structure and balanced…sadly, the 2019 vintage has sold out! Will give the 2020 a test soon. — 4 years ago
Ive tried multiple vintages from this producer and I enjoy his style...from Capalot cru, 2012 is shaping up perfectly. From La Morra, Super floral, red tart cherries, black tea, slight leather, tannin and acid high. The mix of big ole barrel and 1/3 new french oak barriques just brings it to whole amazing level.. seek out this producer if you can... — 6 years ago
This wine pours a somewhat clear ruby red. It has a nice nose. The fruit is restrained. And after it’s been open for a little bit, the tannins really come through. This is an excellent wine that I got at Costco for $48. I would definitely re-buy it. It went well, although not a perfect match with the seafood linguine I had for my birthday at Mange Bene restaurant. #barolowine #italianwines #piedmontwines #nebbioli #costcowines — 3 months ago

Great dark cherry fruit with exposed tannins. Not much earth and tar. Great Barolo to pair with many Italian foods. — 6 years ago

2024 vintage.
From vineyards in La Morra, Alba, Guarene and Castagnito in Langhe.
Stainless steel fermented at low temperatures and rests on fine lees through winter before bottling.
Bright straw yellow in colour.
Fragrant aromatics of dried Chamomile, Acacia flowers and almonds.
In the mouth…stone fruit, white peach, herbs and Asian pear.

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2021 “Del Comune de La Morra” pours a brilliant garnet color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing and redolent with bright, fresh red fruits: framboise, Morello cherry, freshly paved asphalt, trampled rose petals, a kiss of VA, and dry gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. A wine you just want to smell for an eternity. Brilliant. This enjoys a lot of air and I expect will have a very long life. Drink now with patience through 2061. Thanks @Lyle Fass for the assist! — 6 months ago

Fruit sourced from three young, cool vineyards, Arborina and Gattera in La Morra and Castelletto in Monforte d'Alba, Ruby red with a bouquet of dark fruit, spices, leather and licorice. On the palate flavors of sour black cherry and plum with notes of pepper, smoky tobacco, vanilla and oak. Long finish, nice balance with fine drying tannins, savory edges, ending with earthy mineral notes. Good now! — 2 years ago
