Modest oak. Paired very well with pasta carbonara. A good value at $17. — 7 years ago
Such a solid hook up @Martin G Rivard. Vanilla and citrus have developed on the nose as time has passed. Fruit perseveres, tannins have settled. So good! — 7 years ago

One encounter with an ex-château bottle suggested that the 1966 Lynch-Bages is not to be overlooked. Deep in color, it has a tempting nose that unfolds gradually in the glass, graphite and cedar commingling with crushed stone and red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a firm entry, very cedary with touches of desiccated orange peel. It's a bit conservative on the finish, though that is a leitmotif of the 1966 vintage. Well-preserved bottles should still be giving pleasure. Tasted at the Lynch Bages vertical. (Neal Martin, Vinous, July 2023) — 10 months ago
Tastes like subtle red berries, flinty and terroir. Rated 92 by James Suckling. Soft tannins - not hearty but not as berry flavored as other Garnacha wines. — 3 years ago

Has been a little over a year and wanted to check in. Gorgeous herbal nose and some just ripe apricot. Lifting minerals. Floral. Citrus. Just gorgeous. Really open. Wow. Palate is a grapefruit and citrus explosion. Wonderful purity and freshness. So delicate yet very powerful and deep. So tense and structured. Wonderful dry extract. Müllen at his best here. Nimble and powerful. With years to go. Such nice sappy citrus and apricot on the finish. — 3 years ago
Delicious, almost a bit fizzy. Purchased at Bar & Garden in Culver City, drank at home with a caprese and steak with herb salsa. — 5 years ago

Excellent Wine. Russian river valley always delivers. Not the best Russian river I've had and probably at the low end but still an excellent wine — 6 years ago
