Williams Selyem

Lewis MacGregor Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018

Easter brunch with my parents. My dad described this best as “delicious.” Rich but not overly. Balanced. A truly well made Pinot. — 11 days ago

Reserve Napa Valley Chardonnay

Buttery chard but backed with Nice acidity. Prefer this to drink young otherwise caramel would probably dominate. Paired with smoked fish — 2 months ago

Williams Selyem

Lewis MacGregor Estate Vineyard Chardonnay 2018

Thank goodness. No pre-ox on this wine. Have been burned by a lot of Williams selyem chards

But this wine had the dark golden hue yet no pre ox. Very fresh and gorgeous

Like the best WS chards - this tastes nothing like typical California Chardonnay and is more like a chateaunuef de pape Blanc

Fantastic melon and stone fruit flavors.

Minimal oak and a good acidity that gives you a bit of heat / alcohol but not too much.

Really enjoyed this wine with salmon and caviar.

Yering Station

Yarra Valley Shiraz Viognier Blend 2019

This is such an excellent Aussie Shiraz (with 2% Viognier), amazing color still, crisp, refreshing, aromatic, perfumed, lovely balance, truly a lovely drinker, not a “best of class” Aussie Shiraz, but at a low-$US20 price, great bargain, love this!! — 2 months ago

Cuvée L Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2005

Did not match up to the Kapcsandy. Nice but not as rich and plush as I remember. — 5 months ago

That sucks somewhat. 19 years young. Did it have the stuffing do you think?

@Ron R it was pretty solid early on in life as I recall (pre-delectable) so I think I just kept it too long. The downside of offsite storage.

I hate when I do that, @Norman Gennaro. But we now have a deep enough cellar to just keep it moving 👍🏾

Lewis Cellars

Alec's Blend Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend

Sarah dominant blend, with some Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. At 15.5% very high in alcohol, but not too big or hot, but quite nimble and well balanced. Delicious blue fruit with that linger on the pallet. — a month ago

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

My gosh. Big, dark red. Velvet, soft, dark wonderful fruits. Slight touch on the tongue on the finish. Was wonderful with a marbled Wagyu — 5 months ago
