Just a touch (2%) Viognier keeps this Shiraz shockingly elegant and giving of florality (sensual!), while the rich red fruit, black olive and green peppercorn add a touch of brawn and breadth to the slightly textured but surprisingly ripe tannins, leading into blueberries and (again) ripe but lifted finish. Well done, cool-climate Aussie wines!

[97% Shiraz, 3% Viognier.] This lovely mid-tier Aussie Shiraz blend finished in screw cap is one that we mostly open when we want the proverbial “another glass” of wine, so I periodically buy a few bottles here and there, solid redfruuts, nice lift from the Viognier, not quite as good as the 2017-2019 vintages I previously purchased, but still fresh and lively

Oct 10th, 2026Medium-bodied Shiraz with a little Viognier, this is now the 4th vintage of this wine I’ve tried (2017, 2018, 2019 and now 2020), and the prior vintages were vibrant and solid, this is just really ordinary (and frankly disappointing). @Bob McDonald, was 2020 an ordinary vintage in Yarra Valley, or ???

Jun 3rd, 2026Lovely dark purple color, the Shiraz is black pepper and spice, with a quite tannic profile, the Viognier provides some lovely floral notes and acidity, longish finish, should easily improve for 2-4 more years.
